Recently at work I talk to a person regarding losses that I have caused to the company He than made me sign a paper stating that I will pay back $175 dollars That I caused the company in losses, He proceeded to ask if I can pay back the losses I cause the company. However I comply signed the paper and Also wrote about what we talked about that day and signed too.

After that He left the office so I asked my manager for copies of those papers and they said they couldnt give me any because the case was still open.Never did I once said I stole anything I did said that I problaby made a mistake or probably got confused obviouslty I am not going to steal stuff When I have been workin at Ross for almost 4 years now. People make mistakes all the time. They told me I was going to be put on paid leave until the investigation is complete and I was going to receive a call back telling me when I could be back at work. So on Friday I left early from work and I never heard anything back from them until right now Tuesday a voice mail from the assitance manager saying that "I could go pick up my last pay".

Until right now I have no idea what is goin on with the investagation but I guess the outcome of it is me getting terminated from work throught a voice mail. It took me by surprice that I was fired theough a voice mail without any reason unless she was planning on telling me why when I go get the check. I guess it was fun working at Ross while it lasted being Frond End Supervisor was nice! It was not nice getting terminated just like that for a mistake.

Now I received a letter talking about $500 dollars of restitution. Is sad that I donโ€™t have a job for a mistake I commited NOT theft or fraud like they state

Understand what you went through, my situation simular, was told by manager that I could have (without charge because it had been MOS'd )the item, they say no we are not going to fire you we are just sending info to HR, you are just on suspension for time being until you pay restitution.Then once papers are signed, they then tell you that it's until their internal guy gets a chance to review all videos pushing back to your start date and hat any and all suspicious actions Will be added to their report which WILL lead to termination....

I don't understand why you would sign anything for losses they have insurance they are protected are they claiming you stole this money or is this money short from the register? Why don't you contact an attorney I wouldn't agree to pay anything back.

They come after employees for losses but do nothing about shoplifters. I work there too it's terrible, you get paid next to nothing, they demand your soul, employees are so unhappy customers complain wanting us to baby and pamper them shop for them, we are not really allowed to do any of that, we are told that we are there to check you out as fast as possible, not to be your new bff.

They use stupid timers on the registers to check how fast we do each transaction and sometimes slow customers mess up your numbers and you get a talking to if they are not at the expected level. I personally won't shop at a company that treats their employees like *** Not to mention their sustainability "air conditioner" shuts off automatically or currently it's so hot in the store employees are sweating and now so are customers, its like going to work in a sauna and expected to perform.

A listening ear could also be a running mouth. Maybe you should hire an attorney.
