I'm not sure if this is the right place to contact but it's worth a try. Maybe just maybe if it's not, it will be forwarded to the right staff.
I am a customer of Ross stores and I have been for the last 20 plus years.
I love shopping at your stores and you all are great when it comes to customer service. This brings me to why I am concerned. I stopped by a location today in West Palm Beach Florida at the outlet mall. This is the store I choose and I usually shop at because it's convenient for me.
About three weeks ago I purchased some pants for my husband that turnt out to be too small in size. I needed to go in and replace them with a bigger size and that was my plan today. Now, I noticed the sign two weeks ago when I actually purchased the pants because it stated "Internet Down, No Returns" but i didnt have a return so i didnt think anything of it. When I walked in today I saw the sne exact sign and I said to myself, wow their Internet has been down for going on 3 weeks now.
So I decided to speak to the security person in the front who knows me and we tend to laugh and joke all the time in positive energy whenever I come in to shop. I asked him and said yes the Internet was down but he gave me a side eye. He then proceeded to say, oh well it's not really down but the managers here hate doing returns so they tell everyone to go to another Ross if they need to return. I was very shocked hearing this and I asked him was that ok for them to do, and was it considered something they could get away with n their policy.
He said "kind of" he went on to say the managers and staff always say it's up to the managers discretion and that is the policy rule that makes it ok for them to do. I was really shocked. I'm not into retail rules or work industry but I don't believe the corporate staff put that rule in the policy so that certain managers would have an excuse as to why they did not want to in fact do duties that they are required to do as managers at Ross. It seems they have forgotten the number 1 rule and that is customer service.
It's not just a position ..it's an attitude that comes with treating others the way you want to be treated. I'm not sure if anyone is aware of this situation, but I just wanted to let someone know whats going on inside of this particular Ross. A return is business period...it can turn into a positive purchase, and as said before it's business period and for managers to get together and collaborate a lie while representing this company is wild to me and very unprofessional. I hope I have not taken up too much of your time.
I will still shop with you all. Thank you again for a great store!

If there was an option for zero stars that is what this cashier earns her store. I was in line, I understand corp wants to push through those lines as fast as possible.
The customer before me was put her money in her purse, using the counter space and Audrey calls next, then again in Spanish next, previous customer still using the counter space fixing her purse and getting her stuff together. I replied yes I'm waiting for her to finish. Audrey of course, I'm just doing my job! When she rang my stuff she shoved it towards me and I did push it back to her and asked not to do that.
She said well you did! smart Audrey again. I have called and complaint to the store manager.
Wanted to make sure that corp knows how your customers are being treated, in order to push customers through the lines fast. Most cases the cashiers are always having personal conversations why they are ringing up the customers.

I was at Ross dress for less on flamingo road and Griffin road on February 27th at approximately 2:45 to 3:00 first of all there were eight people in line ahead of me the woman in front of me yelled at a second worker to open a register she shouted back I'm off then the woman said well why are you messing with hangers if you're off the woman answered because I can then the woman that I went to Natalia her register number three keep stopping while there's eight people in line to help a spanish-speaking man with the QR code to get a credit card she left her post three to four times so by the time I got up to her she was already aggravated and agitated she was extremely rude I needed help finding finding the tag for the bra that I was returning she shouted I can't do that for you you need to do that on your own and I was shocked seeing how she went out of her way four times to help someone else I already called and filed a complaint but I haven't heard anything back does she get recommended does she need classes on how to act with customers on the pissed consumer I would like to know what will be done

Monday evening I went over to Ross on 640 concord drive in San Mateo around 8pm. I was walking in with my partner, We saw what we were looking for.
My partner grabbed the item and he put it in our cart (a sonic 5 piece gaming station set) We walked to the back to get some paintings, when two employees walked up to us and told us that we needed to return the sonic 5 piece gaming station set because they had put it aside for them to purchase at the end of there shift. I awkwardly said why was it on the eye of the client if its not for sale and I thought the policy was for employees not to set things aside.They both kept telling us its their and we need to give it back. We exchange a few words and one of them proceed to take it out my cart and walked away. Me in disbelief looked at my partner.
I told another employee at the fitting room who saw everything What was that? Can I talk to your manager? He told me to go to the front and ask the security for the manager. We walked to the front and asked the security and another employee if we could please speak to the manager, the other employee said I am the manager.
I told her everything that had happened and pointed at the employees who took the item out my cart. The manager went over talk to them then she went to the back then came back a minute later to tell me sorry that item was set aside and theres no more.
I was speechless and walked out the store shocked at their behavior.
I have worked in the customer service industry and that is definitely not how its done, Thats is not acceptable!
The whole time I remained calm even though I was furious and I find it so rude and not professional.
I FEEL VIOLATED.

I went to get a gift and there were four identical goblets on the shelf. 3 were marked 149 and one was marked 399.
I figured the cashier would see the exact same item and realize that one had just not got reduced, I actually believed anyone with common sense would see the problem and also reduce the one identical goblet, anyway the brainless cashier says that they don't know and I would have to pay the full price for the one identical goblet. I should have just walked out.So I just got 2 of the reduced price ones because 3 would be ridiculous.
I've been ma d for not just leaving them there.It had to be the most no common sense thing I've seen, I'm thinking did they go to school, or maybe they just can't think... I'm still mad.
User's recommendation: If they have identical items with various prices, and I mean same nothing different don't get them at all. Don't expect the cashier to see the problem,save time go somewhere where common sense applies.

I came in to return some items and purchase some items So I started the return first and I gave her my receipt and she said she couldnt see the numbers on the receipt and she gave me back the receipt and I told her that I could see the numbers and I started to read them to her and she didnt want that and told me to get away from her register and I asked to speak to a manager and she said she was a manager and told me to get out of the line. I told her I had my receipt and what I am supposed to do. I live in Hammond in and she told me I needed to back to the store that I got the receipt which was in Chicago Ill

The item should have been placed out of sight, if an employee already had dibs to buy it. Last Christmas, I bought a handbag with a built in phone charger at store similar to Ross.
The cashier became slightly upset as she rang it up, stating she had planned to purchase it. I replied "Well, I found it on the shelf with other handbags" and ignored her continued whines about how she really wanted it.
She should have already purchased it then or at least had it out of sight. It was really tacky of the employee to remove it from your cart.
My number has been banned.please turn it on again
